A good restaurant in Rosarito?

I know it's hard to believe, but the grapevine says that "KAPTAIN JACK'S" is excellent. It is located at the Don Luis Hotel, the site of the former Restaurante El Jardin, on Bulevar Benito Juárez.

LOS PROPIETARIOS DE SAN ANTONIO DEL MAR ELECTO CINCO NUEVOS MIEMBROS A LA MESA DIRECTIVA - Una bienvenida fue dada a los nuevos miembros de la mesa directiva que graciosamente acordaron a dar su tiempo y talento a La Mesa de directivas de SADM. Estos nuevos miembros de la mesa incluyen a William (Bill) Maragno, Marvin Standsberry, quiénes fueron provisionalmente designados por La Mesa a principios de Junio y confirmados unánimemente por la reunión el dia Junio 25, 2005. Otros miembros que se ofrecieron para unir con La Mesa y fueron decididos por el voto unánime incluido: Dennis Albright, Joel Rosales y Nishmet Carmedy. NUEVAS ETIQUETAS ADHESIVAS DE COCHE DISPONIBLES A TODOS LOS MIEMBROS PAGADOS DE SADM - Los coches con las nuevas etiquetas pegadas a la ventana de su caro a lado izquierdo serán inmediatamente reconocidos por las fuerzas de seguridad y permitidos entrar. Los coches sin las etiquetas tendrán que llevar tiempo para identificarse y mostrar ID y la prueba de razon de entrar a SADM antes de ser permitido entrar por las puertas. Estas etiquetas están disponibles a todos los miembros pagados de nuestra comunidad. Estas etiquetas estan marcadas 2005 y serán cambiadas cada año y continúan ano por ano. Este procedimiento es solamente uno de muchos nuevos cambios designados para mejorar la seguridad en San Antonio. CAPITANES DE CUADRA - En la Junta Generale de Junio, la idea de designar a Capitanes de cuadra fue sugerida. Los Capitanes de cuadra se juntan sobre grupos para vigilar la vecindad, como un modo de que los residentes de SADM participan en la vigilancia de el comunidad. Activamente implicado en esfuerzos de prevención de crimen, cambiando information entre vecinos de crimens que pasan en SADM un modo bueno de conservarse en la comunicación directamente con la Mesa directiva. SAN ANTONIO HOME OWNERS ELECT FIVE NEW MEMBERS TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS - A rousing welcome was given to the new board members who graciously agreed to give their time and talent to San Antonio Del Mar Board of Directors. These new board members include William (Bill) Maragno, Marvin Standsberry, who were tentatively appointed by the Board in early June and confirmed unanimously by the meeting. Other members who volunteered to join the board and were elected by unanimous vote included: Dennis Albright, Joel Rosales and Nishmet Carmedy. Current Board members are Clara Anderson, Art Caines and Ed Monroe

SECURITY - “Vigilante” Security group takes over security at San Antonio. Patrol cars used for SADM were displayed at General Meeting

NEW CAR STICKERS AVAILABLE TO ALL PAID MEMBERS OF SADM - Cars with the new decals in their left windshield will be immediately recognized by the security forces and allowed to enter. Cars without the decals will have to take time to identify themselves and show ID and proof of status before being permitted to enter the gates. These decals are available to all paid up members of our community. These decals are marked 2005 and will be changed every year as times goes on. This procedure is just one of the many new changes designated to improve security at San Antonio. This may slow entrance and exit a bit but we hope all will be cooperative in knowing that these procedures are designed to aid in the protection of all homeowners, residents and visitors to San Antonio Del Mar. Dues can be paid at “YOU NAME IT” office at the south entrance.

BLOCK CAPTAINS - At the General membership meeting in June, the idea of appointing Block Captains was suggested. Block Captains would head neighborhood watch groups, as a way to keep SADM residents actively involved in crime prevention efforts, allowing information exchanges between neighbors and a good way of keeping in direct communication with the Board of Directors. Block Captains were asked to volunteer by calling any board member, or going to our web site “www.mysadam.com”, and volunteering through the “feedback” page. After training, Block Captains will develop a neighborhood communication system to distribute vital information and then relay these concerns to the Board and Security Company. By joining together, we will succeed in making SADM a safe community. Please volunteer! Jim and Lorey Welch ( our first volunteer Block Captains) have been Block Captains for many years in San Diego. They learned from their experience that the creation of Block Captains for San Antonio Del Mar will be very helpful in preserving our community. By uniting their neighborhood in their previous residence, they succeeded in dropping the crime rate in our San Diego Community by over 80% in one year! They are more than willing to work with their neighbors to preserve security in San Antonio Del Mar and make it a better place for all families. They welcome anyone who is interested in this endeavor and have many very simple helpful hints for all of you to ensure the safety of your neighborhood. Their recommendation to all citizens who see a crime in progress or notice suspicious activity is to observe and report from a place of safety. They suggest that if anyone sees some suspicious activity to report the activity to the Casita ( 6313026), to a Block Captain or to a Board member (their email addresses are on the web site.) They suggest that you not confront an offender unless you are in immediate danger. We do not want anyone to get hurt or injured trying to apprehend an offender or interfering with a crime in process. By working together, we will succeed in making San Antonio a Safer place for us all.

STREET SIGNS - Woodworkers and Artists Wanted! Ever get lost around here? Got friends or vendors who call and say they cannot find your house? Wonder what some nice, hand carved, large street signs would do to alleviate the problem? Jim Welch is a wood worker who is interested in helping design new street signs for our community.
